The Gallery

This is a story where love and beauty come together.

Dantebus is opening an Art Gallery-Showroom within one of the high street retail spaces of Palazzo Portinari Salviati, the antique palace (c. 1280), just a few steps from Florence Cathedral, that once was owned by the father of Beatrice, Dante’s inspiring muse.

After 700 years, Dantebus is now symbolically reuniting these two lovers, these two beloved ones, in the name of beauty and art.

Despite a world torn by wars and the cold winds of ignorance, Dantebus chooses to take a deep breath of beauty and create a gallery featuring three displays that tell stories and look out onto history, right in the centre of Florence.

The doors of a locus amoenus where souls, according to the Goethean principle of elective affinity, may finally meet, are opened wide. Amidst ancient vaults and marbles testifying witnesses to history, Dantebus brings its style, its mission, which is to give emerging and non-emerging artists the unique opportunity to showcase themselves and to undergo a profitable experience that will mark their artistic journey by opening up new paths, engage the senses, make the mind wander, the heart beat and the soul vibrate.

Exhibitions

The Dantebus Florence Gallery, in Via dello Studio (the street the first University of Florence was born on) launches painting and photography exhibitions, in which each artist exhibits their work, which is also published in a prestigious catalogue and is also provided with a digital portfolio (Mobile Portfolio, Website, Virtual Gallery).

Publications

With a high regard towards literature, Dantebus exhibits all its publications in the Gallery-Library, including poetry series and monographs, prose series and monographs, as well as series, exhibition catalogues and painting and photography monographs.

Shop

The Gallery exhibits artists and artisans on a permanent basis, pursuing originality and authenticity, often of forgotten arts, handed down from father to son, from workshop to workshop.

Decor and showcase

All is done with a refined taste, which seeks to unite present, past and future, paying attention to detail, because even the smallest tile shall always tell the splendour of the whole mosaic.
